Michael Roach advises clients on a wide variety of subjects including health information privacy and security, HIPAA, intellectual property, anti-kickback, Stark, corporate compliance and contracting issues. He also advises health care providers on clinical research regulatory matters.
Michael has over 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Prior to starting his legal career, Michael was the Administrator of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia; served on a National Cancer Institute grant in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, doing program evaluation research and writing grant applications; and was an operations analyst at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He assisted in development of the behavior science curriculum for first and second year medical students at the University of Illinois-Champaign and a graduate level course on Medical Sociology at the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
Michael has served clients in the health care industry as a lawyer as in-house counsel and in private practice. He is a frequent speaker on health law topics and has published numerous articles.
